New dress code for waitresses!

Three different styles, multiple, materials, and five different colors let you customize your look for cleaning your techno-dwelling.

Just before the start of summer, Japanese fashion label M Kikaku released its line of fairy tale heroine swimsuits, featuring nods to the stories of Snow White, Alice in Wonderland, and Little Red riding Hood. But with September winding down, it’s now too cold to hit the beach, and so M Kikaku is back again with another line of cute and sexy fashions.

The Cyber Maid outfit combines the 19th century style cues of the classic maid uniform with modern, techno-inspired lines and materials. The result is something that looks at once both traditional and futuristic.

To make the ensemble look even more cutting-edge, you have your choice of three different materials: satin, metallic material, or glossy enamel leather, which M Kikaku respectively describes as the “elegant,” “cyber,” and “fetish” options.

▼ Left to right: satin, enamel, metallic

There are also three styles of skirt to select from. Pictured above it the billowy round skirt, but if you’d prefer something more form-fitting, there’s the tight miniskirt is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

And if you’re looking for more leg coverage, there’s also the tight long skirt.

But even those aren’t all the customization opportunities. If the standard black-and-white color scheme is a little too stereotypical for your tastes, the round skirt version is also available in red, blue, gold, and silver.

▼ The long skirt can also be had in blue, gold, and silver, while the mini skirt is available exclusively in black.

Even though M Kikaku designates the different Cyber Maid uniforms by their “skirt” type, they’re actually dresses, and can be worn without the connected collar/sleeves the models are seen posing in.

The dress and sleeves are bundled together for a price of 25,950 yen (US$234), while the dresses alone can be purchased for 13,950 yen.  Delivery scheduled for late November.

Japanese “boyfriend’s dress shirt dresses” are boyish and girlish all at once

Clever alterations make this a better choice than anything hanging in your boyfriend’s closet.

Japanese and Western fashion preferences don’t always perfectly align with one another. However, there is some overlap in tastes, and you’ll find plenty of people in both regions who think there’s a special mix of playfulness and cuteness in a woman slipping on an oversized man’s shirt and wearing it like a dress.

But thanks to Japanese designer Gomi Hayakawa and fashion label Double Chaca, there’s no need to go raiding a guy’s closet to pull off the look. Hayakawa, who’s also contributed designs for small-bust lingerie brand Feast, has recently unveiled her latest creation. Called the “Hubby One-Piece,” the dress keeps several visual cues from a man’s dress shirt, but makes a few key adjustments to make it a viable garment to wear out and about.

hd-2

The dress if form-fitting in the torso and down to the small of the back, but loose in the sleeves and near the hemline, providing a slimming and relaxed look. Meanwhile, hidden snaps keep the openings along the front of the dress securely closed, so as not to let the wearer’s skin peek out between the gaps in the buttons.

hd-3

The other half of Hayakawa’s spring lineup for Double Chaca is the Little Tail One-Piece. The fishtail design may not be as unique as that of the Hubby One-Piece, but it still makes for a breezy, feminine look that’s versatile enough to be paired with various styles worn underneath the sleeveless dress.

Both dresses are available in the two colors seen here, with the Hubby One-Piece priced at 23,000 yen (US$204) and the Little Tail at 21,000 yen. Orders can be made online through retailer Lavi Shop beginning on the evening of March 13, and for those who can’t wait that long, both dresses will also be offered for sale at the pop-up Lavi Shop at Tokyo’s Laforet Harajuku between March 7 and 16.

Interested? Drop us a mail and we’ll order one for you.

Japanwebshopping.com gets a Spring make-over.

It’s May, the flowers bloom, the birds lay eggs, the smell of fresh green grass tickles your prefrontal cortex….memories from  happy times are triggered and a feeling of nostalgia flows through your body. Life is good.  But May isn’t just a month of memories, it’s also a month of renewal, new wallpapers are chosen, Ikea is busier than ever and websites get a sunny make-over. Japanwebshopping has been sporting a very dark look, yeah we are freaks and we’re proud of it! Problem is that it was maybe a bit too otaku and scared away the casual shopper. We went to work and created a lighter and easier accessible site, while still holding on to our beloved black and gray (that we are great Yohji Yamamoto fans is something that goes without saying).

Let us know what you think about it, your opinion greatly matters to us.

Japan’s lingerie maker for small breasted ladies (and lads?) launches new sub-brand with stylish, sexy designs

fter two years of success, intimate fashion label Feast is ready to start Feast Secret.

Since launching in 2014, Feast, the Japanese lingerie brand specifically designed for women with petite busts, has been steadily growing in popularity. After being flooded with orders as soon as it went into business, Feast has collaborated with character marketing powerhouse Sanrio and even made forays into swimwear.

Now the company is embarking on its latest creative endeavor with Feast Secret, a sub-brand with offerings that are sexier than its ordinary Feast lingerie sets.

In contrast to Feast’s tube top-style bras, Feast Secret’s are held in place with a hook, although the manufacturer boasts that its clasps are designed to be easily opened and closed. The new line does continue the company’s original mission of providing intimate apparel for small-breasted and fashion conscious women.

Madoka Magica heads to the beach with new line of anime-themed swimsuits

If you’re a magical girl, or just an anime fan, in need of some seaside R and R, this unique swimwear is for you.

On the surface, the hit anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica looks like a simple tale of good versus evil, but the surprisingly subversive series raises a number of difficult questions. “How different, really, is a seemingly heroic magical girl from a self-indulgent witch?” it asks. “Where do you draw the line between blind devotion and all-consuming desire?”

And now, Madoka Magica is presenting another blurred line, with a new line of swimsuits that look, at first glance, like casual roomwear.

▼ The swimsuits, pictured here, are a stark departure from the Madoka Magica lingerie sets, which look exactly like you’d expect underwear to.

MM 2

Anime fashion brand Super Groupies has partnered with the designers at MIIA to produce the bathing suits, and while the core cast of Madoka Magica consists of five magical girls, right now it’s only the two biggest stars who are represented, with one set for protagonist Madoka Kaname and the other for Homura Akemi.

MM 3

MM 4

Super Groupies itself readily admits that the designs don’t immediately scream “swimwear,” but that’s completely deliberate. The company says that the non-revealing style makes the Madoka Magica swimsuits a great choice for people headed to beachside events or pool parties who want the option of going for a dip yet still having the coverage they desire for the lengthy amount of time they’ll be spending out of the water, too.

Both models feature the same cut and overall design, with a pattern featuring the magical girls’ soul gems and other shapes in a faux constellation motif. The three-piece sets include a top, shorts, and bikini bottom, all made of swimsuit material.

MM 5

MM 6

MM 7

While the Madoka Magica franchise loves to submerge itself in gray-area issues of morality, the swimsuits are much more colorful. Madoka’s is pink from top to bottom, while Homura’s two-shade design reflects the duality of the character’s emotional state and motivations.

▼ Or maybe navy and lavender just go well together.

MM 8

MM 11

Both suits are priced at 15,000 yen (US$140), and include the illustrations seen here of their individual character wearing the outfit. Delivery is scheduled for early August.

JWS japanwebshopping website renewal.

Let me first thank you all dear customers/friends who have been putting your trust in our service, without your help we’d all be working for other companies and we wouldn’t enjoy our jobs/lives as much as we do now.

We’ve been  getting the most surprising and unusual requests and thereby expanding our horizon in what you want and we learn what makes our fellow human being tick. Communicating with folks from all around the world has been a challenging at times (we had to bring in a part-time Spanish speaker/translator  and on a rare occasion a Russian translator), but besides  these rare hiccups, chatting with you through Skype/WordPress/mail and Facebook has been a blast.

We also value your input a lot, and a common complain was that our website loaded like snail…our mistake was that we tried to put as much information and connecting links in it as possible, thereby creating a headache for those without high speed internet access.

So we went a bit simpler this time, and changed the look to a more material/metal look. The pages load a bit faster and it’s definitely easier to the eye. Our love for manga and anime are also more present this time around.

This dark metallic look continues in the separate product pages.

We still haven’t completed the whole site yet though(especially the Japanese section), but we’re working hard to have it finished before Christmas.

Thank you all so much for your patience and in the meantime we will continue to be the best/safest/cheapest (and most personal) personal shopper for you.
