Back in May we announced the opening of Gothic rock, punk fashion brand DrugHoney’s online web store. We are extremely pleased that our written introduction of this brand had some influence on our fashion conscious audience…clothes were ordered and shipped to the Philippines, the States,China, Korea, Canada, Costa Rica, Belgium, Italy, France, Australia, Peru, Russia, Luxembourg, Brazil and Germany, proving that people no matter where they live, don’t want to be put in a box and labelled.
Those who were hesitant to purchase these awesome clothes are now given a new gateway through their summer sale. With discounts up to 50%, there is really no excuse anymore for those attracted to DrugHoney’s designs.
If you’re on their page anyway, we recommend you to check out their new arrivals which again beautifully tip toe the line between punk, Goth and mode!
Now you can go swimming in your maid’s costume this summer.
Japanese online swimwear retailer Pixy Party is making a name for itself with cute and sexy collections designed to make girls look like adorable waterside pixy fairies. This summer, they’re dedicating a whole line of bikinis to a different type of fantasy, with the “I Love Maid Lovely Bikini Set” featuring black-and-white numbers with lace, buttons and bowties in three eye-catching designs.
▼ The first style features a lacy drawstring top and cute black-and-white briefs that perfectly replicate a maid’s uniform with bowtie details.
▼ The second design comes with equally pretty details, including a lace neck strap and tiny black buttons.
▼ The third design adds some maid-style frills to the straps, along with a thin, flowing black ribbon.
The company mentions that the outfits are designed to be worn in and out of the pool, at events like summer outdoor festivals.
While the lace details and embellishments are firmly sewn in to withstand use in water, the bikini tops are said to pair well with shorts and skirts when worn at outdoor events.
Brave maids, of course, are free to wear the bikinis whichever way they like, and can even play mix-and-match with all three sets.
The bikinis are available in small, medium and large sizes, and are currently available to purchase online for 5,184 yen (US$50.38) each, for delivery within Japan, or outside Japan if you use Japanwebshopping!
It’s May, the flowers bloom, the birds lay eggs, the smell of fresh green grass tickles your prefrontal cortex….memories from happy times are triggered and a feeling of nostalgia flows through your body. Life is good. But May isn’t just a month of memories, it’s also a month of renewal, new wallpapers are chosen, Ikea is busier than ever and websites get a sunny make-over. Japanwebshopping has been sporting a very dark look, yeah we are freaks and we’re proud of it! Problem is that it was maybe a bit too otaku and scared away the casual shopper. We went to work and created a lighter and easier accessible site, while still holding on to our beloved black and gray (that we are great Yohji Yamamoto fans is something that goes without saying).
Let us know what you think about it, your opinion greatly matters to us.
Let me first thank you all dear customers/friends who have been putting your trust in our service, without your help we’d all be working for other companies and we wouldn’t enjoy our jobs/lives as much as we do now.
We’ve been getting the most surprising and unusual requests and thereby expanding our horizon in what you want and we learn what makes our fellow human being tick. Communicating with folks from all around the world has been a challenging at times (we had to bring in a part-time Spanish speaker/translator and on a rare occasion a Russian translator), but besides these rare hiccups, chatting with you through Skype/WordPress/mail and Facebook has been a blast.
We also value your input a lot, and a common complain was that our website loaded like snail…our mistake was that we tried to put as much information and connecting links in it as possible, thereby creating a headache for those without high speed internet access.
So we went a bit simpler this time, and changed the look to a more material/metal look. The pages load a bit faster and it’s definitely easier to the eye. Our love for manga and anime are also more present this time around.
This dark metallic look continues in the separate product pages.
We still haven’t completed the whole site yet though(especially the Japanese section), but we’re working hard to have it finished before Christmas.
Thank you all so much for your patience and in the meantime we will continue to be the best/safest/cheapest (and most personal) personal shopper for you.
Every time I head back to my motherland the Netherlands, I’m struck by the decreasing shopping quality… when you stroll through the cities, no matter what city, you’re met by the welcoming neon signs of franchises selling their same products all over the country. One Gap shop here, another Hema (Dutch department store) there, further up you’ll find a Nike shop next to a H&M shop. Our fashion is Ikeaing, yes the Ikea phenomena turned into a 2015 verb. People are turning into Smurfs, instant fashion, instant furniture, instant style…nothing is original anymore. All we wear or use is mass produced inferior stuff without character and for those brave ones who prefer quality and their own unique style, they must be prepared to open their wallets..wide .
Not so in Japan, where each city, each department store, each shopping street has an incredible variety of different brands and shops. Shops which cater to the financially challenged and the “a gold card is for paupers” clientele, and everybody in between.
Such a wide variety of brands, styles and tastes…no wonder famous fashion divas like Kate Perry, Madonna and so many others pick up their inspiration from the streets of Shibuya and Harajuku.
One of Japan’s most iconic department store is Shibuya 109 (ichi maru kyu) or Tokyu, located across the street from Shibuya Station.
Hard to miss, and if you have just the slightest interest in young Japanese Fashion this would be your Mecca. All trendy brands and customers get together here and create a “wow, only in Japan ” surrealistic vibe. While Shibuya 109 is just for ladies, the 109Men’s is nearby.
The good thing is that you don’t have to fly all the way to Japan anymore to “set foot” in one of these Department stores….long live the world of virtual shopping!
You shop, you choose, we buy , we send, you smile….life is great!
Let’s check out the daily ranking:
