A perfect school girl uniform/blanket to keep you warm during the cold winter days.

Regular visitors of this blog and website, know about our love for that little weird Japanese company called Bibi Lab…they create things which not only bring a smile to your face, but also actually enrich our comforts.

▼ Say hello to the “Sera Kore Wearable Blanket Type Sailor Uniform Pyjamas”.

big-top-image

Now that we’re all used to the idea of a fleecy school uniform, thanks to Bibi Lab’s previous roomwear collections, the company is now giving us a wearable blanket that looks like a sailor uniform. Despite the “pajama” classification, this roomy outfit is designed to keep the wearer warm while lounging around at home.

The long, flared skirt style makes it easy to walk around the house, and even twirl around in like a schoolgirl if you want to, but the design really comes into its own when worn in a seated position.

f05

According to the makers, this is when it becomes a “Self Kotatsu”, meaning it traps heat around the legs in the same way as a kotatsu, which is a low, blanketed table equipped with a heater underneath.

f07

And because the outfit doubles as pyjamas, you won’t have to worry about getting changed and exposing your skin to the cold before bedtime. Although it might feel strange at first to drift off to sleep while wearing a Japanese-style uniform.

f09

▼ We wonder if Japanese schoolgirls wish they could wear this at school instead of their own uniforms, to help cope with those freezing classrooms.

f03

The thick fleece material extends to the sailor-style collar, which means people around you can use the outfit to keep their hands warm too!

The wearable blanket is if you live in Japan, currently available to purchase from online retailers like Village Vanguard, , if not just fill out the form below. It’s sold in one size and has a recommended retail price of 9,720 yen (US$85.66). With so many weird yet wonderful features, we’re sure this is going to be another popular hit for the Bibi Lab team!

The most comfortable pajama…ever!

Those who’ve been following our blog or have been visiting our website know of our love/double love relation with Bibi Lab and its refreshing original and useful products. We actually survived this summer unbitten by those pesky tiger mosquitoes thanks to the  Net man, a full body mosquito net

Earlier this year offbeat clothing and housewares company Bibi Lab released its Damegi roomwear. A one-piece garment for relaxing at home, the Damegi gets its name from dame (“no good”) and gi (“clothing”) because of the implied promise that it’s so comfortable it’ll absolutely kill any sort of productivity while you’re wearing it.

While the previous model was marketed to women, a brand-new version of the Damegi, called the Fuyu no Damegi (“Winter Damegi”), has just gone on sale, sporting a number of improvements over the original design. For starters, instead of the drab gray of the original, you can now chose between five different colors: Pinky Peach, Chocolate Mellow (brown), Green Rush, High Risk Red, and Midnight Navy. The medium size fits wearers up to 165 centimeters (65 inches) in height, while the large is for those up to 180 centimeters.

Made of extra warm, heat-retentive material, the new Damegi will keep you toasty not just from head to toe, but to your fingertips too, thanks to its four-way convertible mitten-style sleeve cuffs.

A hood and zip-up mask will also help keep heat from dissipating out of your head.

Down at the end of the pant legs, you’ll find snap-shut coverings for slipper-like comfort.

dg-7

And, as is standard with the Damegi, the hood contains two openings to pass twintails through.

And, for a last bit of functionality, the Fuyu no Damegi has a zip-out section at the rear, so you can go to the bathroom without having to take the entire thing off.

dg-10

Bibi Lab says the Fuyu no Damegi is great for happy families and loving couples alike.

The company also bills it as the perfect “gaming wear” for cold-weather video game binges.

dg-13

▼ Pop in a game with a setting on a tropical beach, and kiss winter good-bye.

dg-14

And being the holistic-minded company it is, Bibi Lab also recommends enjoying the Fuyu no Damegi in tandem with some of its other products, such as the Cotton Wife/Husband or Sandwiched Between Twintails Pillow.

With prices starting as low as 5,709 ten (US$55) there is nothing to hold you back to get as comfy as possible this winter…Don’t blame us, though, if after you put it on you end up spending all winter loafing on the couch.

ULTRAMAN suitcases combine style and substance.

BIBILAB, the company which has brought us a lot of unique products like the nomad suitcase, a suitcase which turns into a desk or the Damekun, the most comfy pajamas ever.

This time around they collaborated with our favorite super hero and created what we would call the most awesome suitcase ever!

A MAN of ULTRAデザイン

The “A MAN OF ULTRA” suitcase is not just very pretty to look at, it’s also very unique in its features. Instead of creating normal sized suitcase, they made it slim and tall,  so without  sacrificing any volume(58L),they created a far more useful form.

Comparison image

Its sleek design makes it easier to carry around than an “ordinary” suitcase and takes less floor space. If you’re the kind of person who get brought to the Airport by limousine than you’ve never experienced or will experience (that is until the next Lehman shock..)the hardship we mere mortals suffer just to get to the airport. Bumping into people’s knees in full trains, going through the ticket gates in a most awkward style …..

"The smart even in a narrow space, such as escalators and trains in.

The width of this suitcase is equal to an A4 size paper and the height is 80 centimeters which would it make similar to traveling with a 5 year old child, just without the constant nagging for snacks and toilet breaks.

The “slim and tall” design makes it also possible to carry things, you normally wouldn’t be able to fir in your suitcase, like a skateboard/ Hoverboard, a tennis racket or diving equipment….

The suitcase is made of ABS and polycarbonate, materials which besides sounding very fancy have the characteristics of being light (4.3kg) and strong.

It has 4 quiet caster wheels of which two can be easily locked, they are pretty nice designed wheels too, giving you a little bling.

Quiet 4-wheel casters

Have you ever wondered how the customs inspects your luggage, even when you tightly locked yours? Well I haven’t, I’ve always been too busy looking for free WIFI, but not to get off topic here, this suitcase has a TSA lock (transportation security administration) which can only be openend by yourself and by TSA officials with a special master key, so in case they suspect something, they just open it and close it without breaking anything.

The ULTRAMAN suitcase comes in two varieties; the silver colored one is created by A MAN OF ULTRA and they also have a black version  with a silver accent stripe with ULTRAMAN’s pic.

It even has a nifty space to keep your tripod!

Storage capacity 58 liters

Your 1/3 scale doll(!?) fits easily, because who would leave home without it?

These suitcases are limited and need preordering, with the silver version almost sold out and the black very close to being almost sold out. They are selling the suitcases through four selling points, with Amazon Japan being the only one which has still the silver one. So you have to act fast. Delivery will be on October 21.
